5 Elección de la Priora General
Las Misioneras de Santo Domingo eligen a la 16ª Priora General
León, 19 de julio de 2025 — El XVII Capítulo General de las Misioneras de Santo Domingo anuncia con alegría la elección de la Hermana Ma. Jeanet Pintacasi, OP, como la 16ª Priora General de la Congregación.

Leon, July 19, 2025 — The 17th General Chapter of the Religious Missionaries of St. Dominic joyfully announces the election of Sister Ma. Jeanet Pintacasi, OP, as the 16th Prioress General of the Congregation.
Born in Ozamiz City, Philippines, Sr. Jeanet is the first non-European and the first Filipina to be elected as Prioress General in the history of the Institute. She made her first profession in 1993. Before entering religious life, she studied Civil Law. Responding to God's call, she joined the Religious Missionaries of St. Dominic and was later sent to further her formation and academic studies in Rome and Spain. She earned her licentiate in Canon Law from the Angelicum in Rome and studied Education at the University of Salamanca.
Sr. Jeanet has served in various capacities, including as a high school teacher and Directress of the Congregation's school in Palencia, Spain. For the past six years, she has faithfully served as General Secretary at the General Curia in Rome, contributing greatly to the life and governance of the Congregation.
The Religious Missionaries of St. Dominic give thanks to God for the gift of Sr. Jeanet’s leadership and entrust her new mission to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the maternal protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Let us unite in prayer for Sr. Jeanet and for the entire Congregation, that they may continue to walk in faith, fidelity, and service.
