6 Una Jornada de Gracia en Caleruega y Silos

Recibimos hoy una bendición muy especial: visitar la cuna de Nuestro Padre Santo Domingo, Caleruega.

Fue un día de alegría y fraternidad. A nuestra llegada tuvimos un encuentro con nuestras Hermanas contemplativas; momento de familia que culminamos con el canto del O Spem miram, recordando la promesa de Santo Domingo, de sernos más útil desde el cielo que lo que había sido aquí en la tierra.

Celebramos la Eucaristía en el pozo junto a los novicios, y presidió la misma P. Miguel Ángel del Río, Prior del Convento de Caleruega.

Por la tarde visitamos Silos, lugar de refugio y consuelo de la Beata Juana ante la inquietud del nacimiento de su hijo. Allí encomendamos esta nueva etapa como Congregación.

Con el corazón lleno por tanto como hemos recibido, volvemos a León, nuestro hogar en estos días de Capítulo. 

Que el agua que hemos bebido de la fuente de Santo Domingo nos impulse a seguir trabajando buscando seguir sus huellas en el anuncio del Evangelio.

We received a very special blessing today: visiting the birthplace of Our Holy Father Dominic, Caleruega.

It was a day of joy and fraternity. Upon our arrival, we had an encounter with our contemplative Sisters—a family moment that we concluded with the singing of the O Spem Miram, recalling Saint Dominic’s promise to be more helpful to us from heaven than he had been here on earth.
We celebrated the Eucharist at the well alongside the novices, with Fr. Miguel Ángel del Río, Prior of the Caleruega Convent, presiding.

In the afternoon, we visited the Benedictine Monastery of St. Dominic of Silos, a place of refuge and comfort for Blessed Jane during the anxious time of her son’s birth. There, we entrusted this new stage as a Congregation.

With hearts full from all we have received, we return to León, our home during these Chapter days.

May the water we drank from Saint Dominic’s spring inspire us to continue working, striving to follow in his footsteps in proclaiming the Gospel.
