Trabajo Precapitular – 14 de julio de 2025

El día empezó en clima de oración, con Laudes y Adoración al Santísimo Sacramento. A las 10:15 a.m., las Delegadas se reunieron en asamblea. Sor M. Asunción, priora general, ofreció una orientación en la que subrayó la importancia de este Capítulo General, como un momento de discernimiento comunitario y de renovación.

A continuación, nombró formalmente a las hermanas encargadas de recoger las testimoniales de las delegadas, reconociéndolas así como miembros legítimos del capítulo. También fueron aprobadas por la asamblea las secretarias que acompañarán el desarrollo de los trabajos, y se designaron tres hermanas revisoras de las actas. Luego, la asamblea procedió a la elección de las escrutadoras, quienes supervisarán el proceso de votación durante todo el capítulo.

Finalmente, se presentaron y aprobaron las normas que regirán durante el desarrollo de este, asegurando un proceso claro y ordenado para el trabajo que se llevará adelante. El devenir de la mañana estableció un marco fundamental para el ambiente de los días venideros: arraigado en la oración, guiado por la responsabilidad compartida y comprometido con el camino de la transformación.

Pre-Capitular Work—July 14, 2025

The day began in a spirit of prayer with Lauds and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.   At 10:15 a.m., the chapter delegates gathered in assembly.   Sr. Ma. Asunción, the outgoing Prioress General, offered an orientation, emphasizing the significance of this General Chapter as a moment of communal discernment and renewal.

She then proceeded to formally name the sisters responsible for collecting the delegates’ testimonials, thereby officially recognizing them as legitimate members of the General Chapter. The assembly also approved the appointment of secretaries to record the proceedings, and three sisters were designated as editors of the minutes of the chapter of the institute. Then the assembly elected two scrutineers, usually the two youngest in the profession, who will oversee the voting process throughout the chapter. 

Finally, the rules to be followed during the General Chapter were presented and approved by the assembly, ensuring a clear and orderly process for the work ahead.The morning’s work marked a foundational step in setting the tone for the days ahead—rooted in prayer, guided by shared responsibility, and committed to the journey of transformation.
