19-20 Peregrinación al Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Fátima

 FÁTIMA, Portugal — Al concluir el Capítulo General, los miembros del Instituto realizaron una peregrinación al Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Fátima, llevando consigo no solo sus propias intenciones, sino también las oraciones y esperanzas de sus familias, amigos, colaboradores apostólicos y seres queridos difuntos. En el ambiente sagrado del santuario, se encendieron velas y se ofrecieron flores en gratitud por las bendiciones recibidas y en memoria de quienes nos han precedido.

Uno de los momentos más conmovedores fue la tradicional procesión nocturna, donde miles de velas iluminaron la oscuridad. Los peregrinos caminaron en silencio y en canto, unidos en oración—un testimonio vivo de fe y devoción a Nuestra Señora, que hace resonar su mensaje de paz, conversión y confianza en la misericordia de Dios. En el silencio de la noche, los corazones se elevaron y el cielo pareció estar muy cerca.

La peregrinación fue también un homenaje a la Santísima Virgen María, Nuestra Señora del Santo Rosario. En el santuario, los miembros del Capítulo confiaron a su cuidado los frutos de los últimos 18 días de discernimiento y trabajo, pidiendo su maternal protección sobre el nuevo equipo de liderazgo, llamado a guiar la misión del Instituto.

El itinerario incluyó una visita al pequeño pueblo de Aljustrel, lugar natal de los tres pastorcitos—Jacinta, Francisco y Lucía—a quienes Nuestra Señora confió el mensaje de oración, paz y penitencia para el mundo. Sus vidas sencillas se convirtieron en poderosos instrumentos de la gracia de Dios, recordando a los peregrinos que la santidad es posible para todos.

Reflexión

La peregrinación a Fátima fue más que la conclusión del Capítulo: fue un momento de renovación. En la presencia de Nuestra Señora, los participantes encontraron inspiración para afrontar las incertidumbres del futuro con fe y valor. Al cerrar el Capítulo, su oración fue sencilla pero profunda: Intercede por nosotros, querida Señora del Rosario de Fátima, para que también nosotros encontremos la paz interior y la fortaleza para confiar en el plan de Dios.

FÁTIMA, Portugal — As the General Chapter drew to a close, members of the Institute made a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fátima, carrying not only their own intentions but also the prayers and hopes of their families, friends, apostolic collaborators, and departed loved ones. In the sacred atmosphere of the shrine, candles were lit and flowers offered in gratitude for blessings received and in remembrance of those who have gone before us.

One of the most moving moments was the famed night procession, where thousands of candles illuminated the darkness. Pilgrims walked in silence and song, united in prayer—a living testament of faith and devotion to Our Lady, echoing her message of peace, conversion, and trust in God’s mercy. In the quiet of the night, hearts were lifted, and the nearness of heaven was almost tangible.

The pilgrimage was also a tribute to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. At the shrine, the Chapter members entrusted to her the fruit of the past 18 days of discernment and work, asking for her maternal protection over the newly appointed leadership team as they take up the mission of guiding the Institute.

The journey included a visit to the small village of Aljustrel, birthplace of the three shepherd children—Jacinta, Francisco, and Lucia—chosen by Our Lady to bring her message of prayer, peace, and repentance to the world. Their humble lives became powerful instruments of God’s grace, reminding pilgrims that holiness is possible for all.
